The National Vision addresses five major challenges facing Qatar:
- Modernisation and preservation of traditions
- The needs of the current generation and of future generations
- Managed growth and uncontrolled expansion
- The size and quality of the expatriate labour force and the selected path of development
- Economic growth, social development, and environmental management
Economic Development
Economic development is an essential part of the Qatar National Vision 2030, as the engine that drives progress by providing better opportunities and a better way of life for the country’s citizens. Achieving those objective hinges on Qatar’s ability to create a balance between an oil-based and a knowledge-based economy, helping diversify the country’s economy and guaranteeing a stable and sustainable business environment. The Qatar National Vision 2030 will also guide the wise management of the Qatari economy, helping increase competition, attracting more investments, and stimulating growth.

Dhareeba, the tax portal aims to provide tax services that is safe, easy and efficient, that is contributing to the economic development of the country. It aims to support the government in digitalizing all tax-related services. It is the official portal for conducting all tax transactions and procedures with the GTA, linking it to the taxpayers, and other relevant government entities. The portal aims to facilitate tax transactions as it manages, calculates, and reviews various types of taxes implemented in the state of Qatar.
